The Squirrels played with a relatively small roster Sunday, and shook off a first period stalemate by finding the net six times in the next two periods in a 6-3 win against the Bullets.
Longtime Squirrels opponent, Steve Lipman – a Honkey Kong refugee and also Eric Coulson’s brother – was brought in for the day and performed well, and John Burke notched his first goal and also added an assist. Tony Richelsen had a goal and three assists and Bob Valdes scored twice for the Squirrels.
Several Squirrels missed the game or came late because they took their kids trick-or-treating.
