Down 4-1, the Squirrels were virtually out of the game Sunday before battling back, scoring with an extra attacker and plenty of time remaining, but couldn’t net the equalizer in a 4-3 loss to Heineken Light.
Dav Chung got the scoring started with a goal in the first period, but Heineken Light also scored, then another in the second period on the power play, then two more early in the third.
Brent Machado cut the lead to 4-2 more than halfway through the period and Chi Pham scored off of a faceoff, after a timeout, with 1:15 remaining.
