With only eight skaters, the Squirrels played very well against the Bullets on Wednesday, but couldn’t get more than one puck in the net during regulation. Mario Constantinou scored both goals for the Squirrels, one early in the second period, and the shoot-out winner in a 2-1 win.
The Squirrels dominated in puck possession and shots but the Bullets buckled down, as their goalie made 47 saves to keep the Bullets in the game.
Craig Beatty made 15 saves and three in the shootout to preserve the victory.
