The Squirrels played an all-around solid game Tuesday, putting up four goals in the second period en route to a 5-2 victory against the Avengers.
Don Marks scored on a slap shot on the power play in the first period to get the scoring started. Brent Machado put the Squirrels up 2-0 in the second, before the Avengers answered. Scott Kronzek continued his hot streak with the third goal of the game, and Ben Sumner scored on a rebound out in front of the net to give the Squirrels a 4-1 lead. Machado scored the fifth goal on a pass from Tero Moberg.
David Tam played in net for the Squirrels and made 20 saves.
Brent brought Red Stripe beer and some nasty watermelon flavored beer.
