The Squirrels held a 2-0 lead going into the third period Thursday, but it wasn’t enough as the Laughing Skulls scored twice before winning in a four-round shootout.
Vivek Pinto scored with only 13 seconds left in the first period after several whacks at the puck. Then Mario Constantinou scored only 25 seconds into the second period. Constantinou again scored to open the shootout for the Squirrels, but they came one short of winning.
