The Squirrels put on a solid performance Saturday, getting better as the game went on and earning a 6-2 victory against the Bullets.
After a scoreless first period, the Squirrels gave up the first goal of the game, but Jason Wolf and Tim Stump each found the net. The Bullets tied it at two, but it was all Squirrels after that. Brent Machado and Vivek Pinto each scored to give the Squirrels a 5-2 lead after the second period.
Stump scored his second of the game early in the third period while the Squirrels were short-handed, and the Bullets couldn’t get any momentum after that.
