The Squirrels couldn’t keep up with the much-younger Outlaws on Saturday, falling 5-1 despite keeping the game close for two periods.
Geoff Grek scored the only goal for the Squirrels, though the Squirrels insist that one shot of theirs went in and bounced right out too quickly for the ref to see.
The Squirrels also took five penalties, though the Outlaws only scored once.
The last game of the season is Wednesday against 2intheBox. While the Squirrels hold a one-point lead in the division against both the Outlaws and 2intheBox, the Squirrels will need a win to clinch the division.
