The Screaming Squirrels played their first ice game Saturday since before Covid-19 shut everything down in March of 2020, and ended up winning easily, 10-3 against the Rubber Biscuits.

New Inline Team Called ‘Screaming Squirrels’ Forms
After a season off due to Covid 19, and with folks moving, quitting, or simply taking a break, the Screaming Squirrels roller team was falling apart for the 2021 season. With the help of longtime roller rival Patrick Reilly of That’s What She Said, and longtime ice rival Jon Der of Meltdown, the Squirrels roller team lives on. Anthony Gragnano, who was on the team last season, is now team captain, and Chris Bedrossian also rejoined the team. Best of luck to the new Screaming Squirrels roller team!
Squirrels Merge With Meltdown as Mini-League Resumes Play
The Gardens Ice House is back in business for adult hockey, starting with a 10-game ‘mini’ league because far fewer teams have signed up to play, and fewer players. The Squirrels had only five interested in coming back, so they joined up with Meltdown, one of the longest-running teams in the building.Continue reading

On July 16th 2020 we unveiled our Commemorative Garden (below) dedicated to all emergency and healthcare workers who put themselves at risk, sacrificed their health and all of those who lost their lives to save countless others during the Covid-19 pandemic.
