Squirrels 4, Whale 3

With a 3-0 lead in the second period, the Squirrels killed off a 2-minute 4-on-2, but then surrendered three goals in 1 minute and 11 seconds to a short-benched Whale team. Silver Spring 3, Squirrels 1

The Squirrels only lost three games all last season. This year, they’ve already lost three after Thursday’s 3-1 loss to Silver Spring. Luck played a factor as the Squirrels kept hitting posts, and having only two subs didn’t help, either.
