Rest in Peace to Roller Goalie Bob Sewell
Longtime Screaming Squirrels roller goaltender Bob Sewell passed away. He had been battling cancer.
He was the Squirrels goalie from 2005-2014, winning a championship with the team in 2005.
He was a wonderful teammate and will be missed dearly.
Squirrels 3, 2intheBOX 1
The Screaming Squirrels battled fairly evenly with 2intheBox for much of the game Wednesday and came away with a 3-1 victory.
Mario Constantinou scored late in the first period for the Squirrels on a pass from Bob Valdes. 2intheBox answered early in the second period, but late in the second, Mike Bartock fought through two defenders to score the game-winning goal. Tony Richelsen added an empty net goal.
Sub goalie Steve Borsh got the win in net for the Squirrels.
